Mount Sasna from Lizzola: A Challenging Loop Hike with Breathtaking Views!
The Monte Sasna loop from Lizzola
The Sasna makes you work.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Lizzola and climb the path to the Passo della Manina, a historic crossing between the Val Seriana and the Val di Scalve. There the landscape changes: the space opens out and you enter the wildest heart of the Orobie. The final climb leads to the summit of Monte Sasna, one of those tops that are never handed to you: from the summit, on clear days, the eye takes in every peak of the Val Seriana and the head of the Val di Scalve. The return passes the Cappella della Madonna Pellegrina and Rifugio Mirtillo.
5 reasons to come - the summit of Monte Sasna, earned metre by metre - the Passo della Manina, a crossing between two valleys - the Cappella della Madonna Pellegrina - Rifugio Mirtillo on the way back - the wildest heart of the Orobie
