Winter Mount San Primo: Lake Views & Mountain Hut Lunch
Mount San Primo in winter
A pre-Alps classic, in its winter version.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders on a loop over Monte San Primo, the highest summit in the Larian Triangle, which in winter offers open, constant views over Lake Como, the Grigne and the alpine arc. The route runs over gentle slopes and panoramic sections, ideal for snowshoes or micro-spikes depending on conditions. The moment everyone waits for comes at Rifugio Martina, where we stop for a hot lunch that warms body and spirit.
5 reasons to come - Lake Como seen from the snow - a hot lunch at Rifugio Martina - gentle slopes, fine for first snowshoe outings - the Grigne and the alpine arc from the summit - the bright, silent atmosphere of winter
