WHY THIS HIKE

Monte Punta: Pelmo view

A loop among larches, beech trees, and Mount Pelmo appearing out of nowhere.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Costa, in Val di Zoldo, and quickly gain altitude through the woods. The route is a loop: we climb among larches and beech trees, with the view gradually opening onto Val di Zoldo, until we reach Monte Punta, a true 360° viewpoint over the Dolomites. From up there, Monte Pelmo steals the show, standing imposing right in front of us. We then descend on the opposite side, passing through the La Forzèla saddle, before closing the loop back to Costa.

The name "Postazioni Costa" is no coincidence: along the trail you'll come across traces that tell the story of the Great War, when these mountains were trenches and borders.

5 reasons to come - Monte Punta and its 360° panorama over the Dolomites - Pelmo staring you straight in the face from the summit - the larch and beech foliage, a real spectacle here at the end of the season - a complete loop, with no need to retrace your steps - the picturesque Mas de Sabe

Who it's for You'll need trained legs and the will to walk for a few hours, but no technical gear or mountaineering experience is required: it's a hiking route suited to anyone who loves the real mountains.

Come discover it with the Guidders: this is how autumn is experienced here, one step at a time.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Alain, a mid-mountain leader registered with the Collegio Guide Alpine del Veneto. I was born and raised on the doorstep of the Dolomites, and I started walking as a child with my father ahead of me on the trail. What began as a habit became the thing that makes me feel most alive: at some point I left a safe job that never really felt like mine, and chose the mountains instead. What I love most is watching someone let themselves be amazed. Every outing is a chance to reconnect with nature and, almost without noticing, with yourself: you discover, you breathe, you go home a little different from how you set off. If you hear the call of the peaks too, I'm here. ⛰ See you in the mountains, Guidders!
