Mount Pasquella and Alpe di Colonno: A loop trek above Lake Como with ridges and breathtaking views.
Mount Pasquella and Alpe di Colonno over Lake Como
A corner of the Valle Intelvi almost nobody walks.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the hamlet of Lura, in the Blessagno area, on a loop above Lake Como that enters one of the most genuine corners of the Valle Intelvi. We walk far from the crowds through woods and summer pastures, reach the Monte Pasquella viewpoint, where the crest opens suddenly onto the lake, and drop to the Alpe di Colonno, a fitting close between nature and tradition.
5 reasons to come - the Monte Pasquella viewpoint over Lake Como - the Alpe di Colonno as a final stop - woods and pastures away from the crowds - a complete loop, climbing and descending different lines - the Valle Intelvi at its most genuine
Who it suits A physical climb on mountain paths: normal walking fitness is enough.
