Mount Menna and MAGA Refuge: A Panoramic Trek from Zorzone in the Serina Valley
Mount Menna and MAGA refuge
A steady climb, and a summit that opens everything up.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the hamlet of Zorzone, in the Val Serina, and the path drops straight into the woods, climbing at a constant gradient through hairpins and clearings. The walking is regular and lets you gain height gradually, while the vegetation thins and the views open onto the Val Serina and Monte Alben. We reach the well-known Rifugio MAGA and then the summit of Monte Menna.
5 reasons to come - the summit of Monte Menna - Rifugio MAGA along the route - Monte Alben opposite for the whole climb - a constant gradient that helps you find your rhythm - the view that opens once the woods end
Who it suits A steady, intense climb: good fitness is needed, but nothing technical.
A panoramic Orobie summit: come and take it with the Guidders.
