Mount Magnodeno: A breathtaking panoramic hike above Lecco that truly surprises!
Mount Magnodeno above Lecco
The least talked-about summit above Lecco, with the widest view.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the cable car square at the Piani d'Erna and climb towards Monte Magnodeno, by way of Campo dei Boi. It is a real climb, the kind you feel, but the summit gives an enormous view: the Lake of Lecco, the eastern arm of Lake Como, the Brianza, the Resegone and the Grigne all at once. Less frequented than the Lecco classics, it has a strong identity: solid, panoramic, without frills.
5 reasons to come - the summit of Monte Magnodeno and its enormous view - the Lake of Lecco and the eastern arm of the Lario - the Resegone and the Grigne from the same top - Campo dei Boi along the climb - a quiet summit a step from Lecco
Who it suits A continuous, demanding climb: good fitness is needed, but nothing technical.
