Mount Due Mani: Summit Sunset & Traditional Dinner
Summit sunset on Monte Due Mani
Sunset from the summit cross, and dinner waiting below.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the Passo della Culmine di San Pietro and walk through woods and clearings to the summit of Monte Due Mani. From the cross and the small Bivacco Locatelli the eye takes in an extraordinary view: the Brianza lakes on one side, the Grigne on the other and, when the air is clear, even the distant peaks of the Aosta Valley. We wait for sunset at the top, with the sky turning pink and orange, then come down by head torch and sit down to a local dinner.
5 reasons to come - sunset from the cross on Monte Due Mani - the Bivacco Locatelli just below the summit - the Brianza lakes and the Grigne from the same spot - the descent under the stars, head torches on - the local dinner at the end of the day
