The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Livigno and climb gradually through bright pastures and wide paths, by way of Rifugio Carosello 3000. After the first stretches the setting changes: the ground turns stony, the vegetation thins out and only the wind is left. We reach the summit of Monte delle Rezze and the Bivacco Madonon, with a view commanding the Rhaetian Alps, from the Ortles to the Bernina: absolute silence and enormous horizons.

After the initial 800m ascent, we'll take a short break at the Carosello refuge to refuel before continuing on!

Monte delle Rezze Summit & Madonon Bivouac
We reach the summit of Monte delle Rezze, where we can admire the Bernina massif, visit the Madonon Bivouac, and, why not, even use the quirky outhouse! After a lunch break, we'll continue our adventure.
