Monte Castellazzo e il Cristo Pensante
The Thinking Christ of Castellazzo
A balcony over the Pale di San Martino, with a statue at the top.
The experience
The Cristo Pensante walk is open to everyone and links the Baita Segantini to the summit of Monte Castellazzo: a genuine balcony facing the Pale di San Martino. At the top stand the statue of the Thinking Christ and a wooden cross, symbols of contemplation in a setting of rare beauty. We set off with the Guidders from the Passo Rolle, by way of the Capanna Cervino.
5 reasons to come - the statue of the Thinking Christ at the summit - the Pale di San Martino opposite - the Baita Segantini, among the most photographed spots in the Dolomites - the Capanna Cervino along the route - a route genuinely open to everyone
Who it suits An accessible route on well-marked paths: fine even if you do not walk much.
A balcony over the Dolomites: come and see it with the Guidders.
