WHY THIS HIKE

Mount Cadelle between the Orobie and Valtellina

A summit watched over by an iron angel.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Foppolo and climb towards the Passo del Porcile, through pastures and silent valleys, up to the summit of Monte Cadelle, on the border between the Bergamo Orobie and the Valtellina. Here the top is not just an objective: it is watched over by the iconic Angel of the Cadelle, and from up there the view commands the Valle Brembana, the Valle Lunga and the Val Madre. Genuine silence and wide views, the kind that stay with you.

5 reasons to come - the Angel of the Cadelle, right at the summit - the view over Valle Brembana, Valle Lunga and Val Madre - the Passo del Porcile along the climb - the border between the Bergamo Orobie and the Valtellina - a symbolic summit, not the usual objective

Who it suits Serious height gain on a varied path: good fitness and a sure step are needed.

Some summits stay with you: come and take this one with the Guidders.
