Mount Bregagnino and Mount Bregagno: Panoramic Trekking above Lake Como
Mount Bregagnino and Mount Bregagno over Lake Como
A long day, with Lake Como always below.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the Monti di Breglia and climb to the chapel of Sant'Amate, then to Monte Bregagnino and Monte Bregagno, finishing over Monte Grona. The route alternates silent woodland with open ground, shade with bright glimpses, on a progressive but demanding climb: here pace and energy management make the difference. In return, wide views over Lake Como for most of the day.
5 reasons to come - three summits in a single route - Lake Como from above, for most of the way - the chapel of Sant'Amate, poised on the ridge - Monte Grona to close the circuit - a long day, the kind you talk about afterwards
Who it suits A route for trained walkers, used to long days and continuous climbs: a sure step is needed.
Real mountains above the lake: come and walk them with the Guidders.
