Monte Barro above Lake Como

Il Monte Barro vanta splendide vedute sul lago a due passi dalla città di Lecco, è un rilievo di calcare dolomitico alto 922 metri, circondato dai laghi di Annone e Garlate e dal ramo di Lecco (lariano) del lago di Como. E’ un monte bellissimo, isolato e ricco di luoghi di notevole interesse naturalistico, storico e culturale. L’interesse escursionistico del Barro è legato soprattutto ai magnifici panorami che esso offre sulla Brianza, costellata da laghi di origine glaciale, sulla valle dell’Adda, sulle Grigne, sul Resegone, sui Corni di Canzo. Percorrendo i suoi sentieri si può notare l’elevata biodiversità degli ambienti presenti, dal bosco di faggi, ai prati magri, ai salti di roccia, alle sorgenti calcaree, alla nutrita flora. Il Monte Barro è infatti l’area protetta lombarda con maggior diversità floristica (censite circa 1200 piante). Insieme percorreremo un bellissimo itinerario ad anello alla scoperta di questa perla della Lombardia.
