Mount Alto from Ceratello: A Loop Trek on Lake Iseo with Lunch at Rifugio Magnolini
Mount Alto in winter over Lake Iseo
A winter loop with Lake Iseo always below.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Ceratello, just above Lovere: a small mountain gem suspended between lake and peaks. The path runs through woods and pastures, with the quiet typical of winter and a privileged outlook over Lake Iseo below. As we climb the view opens out to the summit of Monte Alto, and on the way back we stop at Rifugio Magnolini for lunch, the most sociable moment of the day.
5 reasons to come - Lake Iseo seen from above, in winter - the summit of Monte Alto - lunch at Rifugio Magnolini - the village of Ceratello, suspended between lake and mountain - a complete loop, returning by a different line
