WHY THIS HIKE

Mindino: the summit for all

An easy loop, with a view that stretches all the way to the sea. This is Mount Mindino.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

Let's set off with the Guidders from Colla di Casotto, in the heart of the Ligurian Alps. The route is a loop: we climb along a dirt track and trail through beech and rhododendron woods, with the forest accompanying us until the final open stretch leading to the summit. At the top awaits Mindino, with its massive 25-metre-high cross visible from kilometres away.

From the summit, the view sweeps a full 360°: the Western Alps to the north, the Ligurian Apennines and the Gulf of Genoa to the east, and the sea stretching to Isola della Gallinara in the south. A natural balcony between two worlds, mountains and sea in a single glance.

5 reasons to come - an easy loop, perfect even for beginners who want to enjoy a relaxing autumn day - the monumental 25-metre-high cross, visible from afar - a 360° panorama between the Alps and the sea - beech and rhododendron woods with their autumn colours along the way

- Between Napoleonic battles and tales from the trenches - suitable for children too, a relaxed pace all day long

Who it's suitable for An outing for everyone: families with children, those hiking in the mountains for the first time, and anyone looking for a light day out without giving up on the view. No technical skills or special equipment required.

Join us Guidders: Mindino is waiting for you, and the summit with its double view over the Alps and the sea is unforgettable.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Giorgia, an environmental hiking guide, raised between the Tanaro Valley and the Ligurian Alps: mountains looking out over the sea, which I've always carried with me. There's another special place for me too, the Varaita Valley, where the Stone King dominates the horizon and every trail tells old stories among incredible landscapes and summits worth living. Walking and running in the mountains means discovery for me: I love exploring new trails and sharing the wonder of nature with the people I guide, because every experience is better when you live it with someone. Before being a guide I'm a curious soul, in love with the land that raised me. You'll find me with a backpack on, a ready smile and an appetite for listening to the wind in the rocks and the silence of the woods. When the mountains call, I answer with a smile (and poles). 🥾⛰️ See you in the mountains, Guidders!
