The experience

We set off with the Guidders from the Alpe Grande and follow an evocative woodland path to Orimento, then an easy mule track to the Alpe Squadrina. Even on the way up you glimpse the objective: Monte Generoso, the main panoramic summit of Canton Ticino. From the top the eye turns all the way round, over the lakes and the Alps, and the sunset hour does the rest.
