WHY THIS HIKE

Two summits on the ridge, when the beech woods light up

Monte Linzone and Monte Tesoro are two balconies on the Albenza ridge, between Valle Imagna and Valle San Martino. Autumn is the best time to climb them: the air turns clear, the view runs from the Resegone to the Orobie and the beech woods along the ridge turn yellow and copper.

Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

With the Guidders we start from Coldara and climb the old mule track of the former cable car up to Passo di Valcava, then to the cross on Linzone. We carry on through the beech wood to Tesoro and come back through small farming hamlets and the Zuccone path, with a final stop at the Agriturismo Costa del Coldara.

It is an intermediate trek, complete but never technical: you just need to be used to walking. With leaves on the ground the path can be slippery: bring boots with a good sole and, after the first frosts, microspikes. Lunch at the farm restaurant is not included.

Come with the Guidders: a classic of the Bergamo Prealps in autumn colours.
