There is a special way to discover Lake Como: step by step along the Sentiero del Viandante, one of Lombardy’s most iconic treks. An ancient route of Roman origin that for centuries guided merchants, pilgrims, and travelers through villages, woods, and spectacular views over Lake Como. Today, with the Guidders, we will walk the first stage of the Sentiero del Viandante, from Lecco to Mandello del Lario, enjoying an experience that combines nature, history, and landscapes that look like they’ve come straight off a postcard.
Leaving the city of Lecco behind, we will immediately step into the authentic atmosphere of the trail, following historic mule tracks and paths winding through shady woods, ancient stone hamlets, and natural terraces overlooking the lake. Along the way, we will be accompanied by constant views of Lake Como, the majestic Grigne, the Resegone, and the mountains framing the eastern branch of the lake, in a succession of panoramas that make this route one of the most beautiful in Italy.
