WHY THIS HIKE

The Rezzago forest and its earthy mushrooms

We will start from Rezzago, a village where time seems to have stood still and where, curiously, almost everyone is called Binda.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We will ascend towards the Selva, a place where the chestnut trees tell an ancient story, crossing a natural environment rich in traces of wild animals.

Along the way we will encounter a large sinkhole, a testament to the karst phenomena of the area: its depth is unknown (the area is secured and can be observed from a distance).

We will then reach a panoramic ridge from which splendid views of the surrounding mountains open up.

For lunch, we will stop at a farmhouse, where Cristina will welcome us with typical homemade dishes, in a genuine and convivial atmosphere.

LUNCH INFO

Fixed menu €25 (all included)

Welcome drink: elderflower syrup

Appetizers: crostini with cheese fondue, Bitto fritters

First courses: mushroom risotto and radicchio and taleggio risotto

Dessert: toast with dessert

Drinks: water, wine, coffee

For the return to the valley, we will follow a circular path that will allow us to admire the spectacular natural architecture of the famous Earth Mushrooms of Rezzago.

In the previous days, car pooling will be organized to optimize car travel. For those arriving by train, meeting points and transfers are planned from Lecco station (9:00 am) and Asso station (9:30 am) to the starting point.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Luca, an AIGAE environmental hiking guide, a lifelong nature lover — and lucky enough to live right next to it every day. In my professional life I've worked for years in safety and the environment, but I felt the need to bring skills and passion together into something more involving: that's how this adventure started. Today I take groups out to discover nature with particular attention to sustainability, wellbeing and the spirit of the group. I believe in hiking that's good for the body, good for the mind and builds new connections: those three go together more often than people think. Let's enjoy ourselves and learn to look at the world around us with new eyes. 🌿 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
