WHY THIS TREK

Coast to Coast: Calabria trekking

One Ionian shore to another, on foot, in 5 days. That's how you cross real Calabria.

Group chat before departure
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Soverato, sea still in our eyes, starting our traverse toward Pizzo: not a loop, a real line cutting the region coast to coast. We climb through olive groves and beech woods up to the Monte Coppari ridge, the highest point of the whole route, where autumn lights up the beech forest in copper and gold. We then descend into the Vibo Valentia hinterland, through stone villages and farm tracks, until we close the loop on the other sea.

Along the ridge we pass the old niviere, where snow was once stored through winter as a year-round reserve, and the legendary Pietra della Fata, a granite boulder wrapped in village folklore.

5 reasons to join - two seas in a single trek, coast to coast - autumn lighting up the Monte Coppari woods - genuine Calabrian villages, off the tourist radar - the niviere and Pietra della Fata, stories carved in stone - five days of walking between cozy B&Bs and local cooking

Who it's for For anyone with trained legs and the will to walk several days in a row: no technical sections, just trails, tracks and plenty of Calabria to discover.

Join the Guidders: we set off together, we walk together, we reach the other sea together.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Stefano, an AMI Bike instructor and a CAI guide. Walking and cycling aren't just sport for me, they're a way of living: I love nature, the right kind of effort and the freedom that ridges and trails hand you. I like being among people, listening, sharing experiences and building a group — because every tour is far more than a route, it's an adventure to live together. I've travelled in Nepal, India, Norway, England, Spain, Albania, Morocco and all over Italy, and every trip taught me something new about myself and about the world. Whether it's a panoramic loop on the mountains at home or a multi-day tour abroad, I like planning every detail and bringing together sport, nature and fun. 🚵 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
