Rifugio Albani below the Presolana

Il Rifugio Albani sorge nell'abbraccio della ripidissima parete Nord della Presolana, una muraglia calcarea mozzafiato che avvolge la conca e il laghetto del Polzone ai suoi piedi. Si trova sopra l'abitato di Colere, in Val di Scalve, zona particolarmente nevosa dove l'inverno crea un connubio affascinante con le imponenti guglie della Presolana e le vicine cime del gruppo. Il sentiero invernale parte dalla località Carbonera, non lontana dalle piste, e affronta un primo tratto di mulattiera ripida per immergersi completamente nel bosco. Una volta guadagnato il limite delle piante, il panorama si apre e il Rifugio compare sul suo cucuzzolo. Ancora un po' di sforzo e si attraversano gli edifici della vecchia miniera per giungere infine all'Albani. La Presolana svetta maestosa da sfondo, e di fronte, in lontananza, la catena dell'Adamello. Qui si potrà godere di un rigenerante pasto al Rifugio, e magari addentrarsi verso il sentiero che si affaccia sul laghetto, ghiacciato e ben coperto, per godere dei dettagli delle altissime pareti che lo sovrastano.
