Lake Aviolo and its Sky-Blue Waters
Lake Aviolo and its sky-blue waters
A sky-blue lake at the head of the Val Paghera.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Rifugio alla Cascata and the path first enters the woods, then turns rocky. At Rifugio Sandro Occhi all'Aviolo the effort is repaid by the sight of Lago d'Aviolo, with its sky-blue water. Carrying on we come to the geological and wildlife observatory, and nearby we stretch out on a wide grassy flat crossed by a stream of crystal water.
