From Vigo di Cadore, in the Belluno area, we’ll hike with the Guidders up to Giovanni Spagnolli Bivouac, in the heart of the Venetian Dolomites. The trail starts near the Starezza–Pramossei Military Road and winds through woodland, steep sections, and at times uneven terrain, reaching 2,039 metres: this trek is best suited to hikers with a good level of fitness and sure footing, especially on the descent. The hike begins near SP619 in Vigo di Cadore, immediately entering a forest trail. The path is well-trodden and the ascent starts gently, perfect for warming up. The setting is classic Dolomite woodland, with fir trees and the quiet sounds of nature all around.

Spagnolli Bivouac
Arrival at the Giovanni Spagnolli Bivouac, at about 2040 meters. A perfect spot for a longer break, surrounded by a wide and wild panorama. From here, the view stretches across the surrounding Dolomites, fully rewarding the climb.
