WHY THIS HIKE

The Grignone and the Brioschi refuge

From the valley floor to the summit, in one go.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

Climbing the Grignone from Balisio means testing your legs and your lungs, but also enjoying one of the widest panoramas in the Lombard Prealps. We set off on foot from the village and cross woods, pastures and high rock. After the long wooded stretch we reach Rifugio Antonietta al Pialeral, a rest stop with a fine view of its own; from there the real climb to the Northern Grigna begins along the normal route, up to Rifugio Brioschi, set right on the top. Up there the panorama opens wide: Monte Rosa, the Disgrazia, the Valtellina, the Apennines, the Resegone and Lake Como in a single glance.

5 reasons to come - the Grignone summit and Rifugio Brioschi - the panorama from Monte Rosa to the Apennines - the stop at Rifugio Antonietta al Pialeral - woods, pastures and rock in one route - the satisfaction of climbing it from the valley floor

Who it suits A long, demanding climb: excellent fitness and mountain habit are needed.

A real challenge: come and take it on with the Guidders.

Outing on 7 June 2026
