Three Peaks of Bondone Trek: ridge trekking
Bondone 3 Peaks: ridge dreams
Three peaks, one ridge, a panorama that never ends.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Viote, right at the foot of Monte Bondone, and start climbing straight away: the woods open up fast and ahead of us stretches the ridge linking Cima Verde, Doss d'Abramo and Monte Cornetto. The route is a loop that unfolds like a story in chapters: first a steady climb through the pastures, then the ridge carrying us peak to peak, finally the descent back down toward the Caserme. Up here the view stretches out enormously: Brenta and Adamello-Ortles on one side, Lagorai and the eastern Dolomites on the other.
This area has a strong military past: the old roads and outposts we pass along the way tell a piece of border history, still carved into the stone.
5 reasons to join - three peaks in one single loop, with ever-changing views - one of the most scenic ridges in the Bondone-Stivo group - military history you can feel at every step - wide-open horizon over Brenta, Adamello-Ortles, Lagorai and the Dolomites - easy start from Viote, already up in elevation
Who it's for For anyone with trained legs and a taste for ridge trails: no technical skills needed, just a good pace and the will to stay up high all day.
