The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Rifugio Savoia, in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, and cross high meadows and alpine pools: Lago Nero, the Trebecchi lakes, Lago Rosset and Lago Leila. The loop is simple and panoramic, with accessible height gain and easy ground: the perfect balance of walking and contemplation, with good chances of meeting the wildlife.

The route starts amid high-altitude meadows leading to the striking Lake Nero, a crystal-clear body of water reflecting the surrounding peaks. Here, the silence and the color contrasts between rock and water immediately create a powerful feeling.

Lake Nero, Trebecchi Lakes and Lake Rosset
The trail continues gently at altitude, running alongside the Trebecchi Lakes, small alpine gems, and reaches the larger Lake Rosset. Its turquoise waters, surrounded by pastures and rocky terrain, offer one of the most iconic views of Nivolet.

Lake Leila
The final stretch of the loop features Lake Leila, less crowded but enchanting, where absolute peace reigns.

Return
The trail gently heads back towards the starting point, closing the hike with an unforgettable overall view.
