WHY THIS TREK

The Fishermen's Trail in Portugal

Six days of ocean, wind and freedom.

Group chat before departure
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

With the Guidders we walk one of the finest stretches of the Fishermen's Trail, along the south-west coast of Portugal, inside the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast natural park. We walk paths above the Atlantic, among cliffs, dunes and genuine villages where every step carries salt in the air.

Day 1. Arrival in Portugal. Day 2. From Porto Covo to Vila Nova de Milfontes. Day 3. From Vila Nova de Milfontes to Almograve. Day 4. From Almograve to Zambujeira do Mar. Day 5. A final coastal stage. Day 6. The journey home.

5 reasons to come - clifftop paths above the Atlantic, day after day - the fishing villages of the Vicentine Coast - the dunes and cliffs of the natural park - the wind and the sound of the ocean, always beside you - six days of real walking, stage by stage

Who it suits Six consecutive days on sandy, coastal paths: good fitness and the habit of walking long distances.

Ocean and freedom, one step at a time: set off with the Guidders.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Giulia, an environmental hiking guide: from the Marche originally, Lombard by adoption. I've always had a strong bond with nature and with walking, born among the hills and grown later among mountain trails. I love travelling and finding new routes, fascinated by a simple but extraordinary tool: our legs, able to take us almost anywhere with patience and stubbornness. For a long time I mostly walked alone. Then I discovered how good it is to share the wonder of a view and the feelings of a trail with other people — and that's why I do this job today. On my outings I bring enthusiasm, a willingness to listen and plenty of positive energy. 🥾🌿 See you in the mountains, Guidders!

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Elisa, coordinator. I (re)discovered my passion for the mountains in 2018, and I haven't stopped since: every week I set off on a new adventure with my husband and our inseparable four-legged life companion. I love everything about nature: from simple walks through the woods to multi-day treks with a tent on my back and a starry sky overhead. The urge to discover new trails, breathe in fresh air and share emotions never fades, and bringing other people along with me is the best way I know to multiply them. If you too dream of genuine hikes, to be lived at just the right pace and in good company, I'll be waiting for you on the trail with a smile (and a wag or two). 🐶 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
