Susatti Via Ferrata and Cima Capi: Vertical Adventures Above Lake Garda
The Susatti via ferrata and Cima Capi over Lake Garda
Your first via ferrata, with Lake Garda always below.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Biacesa, in the Val di Ledro, and within minutes it gets going: easy rock, steel cable and a panoramic ridge opening wider and wider onto Lake Garda. The Ferrata Susatti has no extreme difficulties: it is the perfect mix of fitted path, exposed ridge and constant view, with a progression that never gets dull. On the summit of Cima Capi the lake lies right below, and it is worth every metre of cable.
5 reasons to come - the Ferrata Susatti, ideal for a first via ferrata - the summit of Cima Capi, straight above the Garda - the panoramic ridge after the fitted section - a varied progression that never gets boring - the lake in sight from the first step to the last
Who it suits It is a via ferrata: you need a head for heights, a sure step and the right equipment. Nothing extreme.
Verticality and lake views together: come and try them with the Guidders.
