Via Ferrata on the Sentiero dei Fiori: Conquer Ridges, Glaciers and History at 3000m!
Via ferrata on the Sentiero dei Fiori
A fitted ridge between glaciers and trenches.
The experience
The Sentiero dei Fiori is far more than a via ferrata: it is a journey suspended between sky and memory. It runs along a spectacular alpine crest astride Lombardy and Trentino, where every step gives dizzying views of the Presena and Pisgana glaciers and where the rock still carries the marks of First World War trenches: the route, fitted on the exposed sections, was built by Italian troops. We set off with the Guidders from Capanna Presena, taking in Capanna Lago Scuro and the Passo Presena.
5 reasons to come - a fitted crest in glacial country - the Presena and Pisgana glaciers beneath you - the trenches and walkways of the Great War - the Passo Presena and Capanna Lago Scuro - a route that is nature and memory at once
Who it suits A fitted high-altitude route: a head for heights, via ferrata equipment and a sure step are needed.
Suspended between sky and history: come and walk it with the Guidders.
