The Ombretta valley is the gentle side of the Dolomites: you walk through a lovely, unspoilt setting up to Rifugio Falier, a gem at the foot of the imposing south face of the Marmolada. The route is undemanding and lets you sink into nature without too much effort, with the queen of the Dolomites growing in front of you at every step.

The hike will start from Malga Ciapela, where you can leave your car. The trail, crossing a fir and larch forest, will take us first to Malga Ombretta and then to Rifugio Falier.
