WHY THIS HIKE

The San Genuario oasis

09:30PARKING
San Genuario VC cemetery car park
This easy-going route is a roughly 10 km, entirely flat loop that at times runs alongside the rice paddies and old mills; along the way between one paddy and the next, I will tell you the story of rice and how it has evolved over the years. With a bit of luck we may spot birds on their migration north, as well as the variety of fish and amphibians found in the oasis.

How do you get to Crescentino? By carpooling.

You say so when booking, then you get organised in the Telegram group. Contacts and costs are agreed between you: a seat isn't guaranteed.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Franco, an environmental hiking guide and a climbing instructor. I've loved the mountains and outdoor activity for as long as I can remember, and I love being out there in every season: everything changes four times a year, which is why you never get bored of the same trail. What I enjoy most is sharing with other people what I feel out there. Climbing included: teaching someone to trust their own feet is one of the most satisfying things I do. I love travelling and planning my trips in complete freedom — and some of that freedom always ends up in the outings I offer. 🥾 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
