Circular hike to the Gleno Dam: an exciting trek through history and Alpine scenery
Gleno Dam: History and Nature
An intense, atmospheric trek in the heart of Val di Scalve, in the province of Bergamo, with Guidders to the Gleno Dam starting from San Carlo di Vilminore (Bg). The trail climbs through woodland, pastures, and switchbacks on a mixed surface of mule track and mountain path, all the way to the remains of the dam and panoramic views toward Pizzo Camino and the Orobic peaks. A moderately difficult hike with some steep sections, uneven terrain, and possible mud: sure-footedness is required. Why join: - trekking through nature and memory - wide-open views over the valley - a varied trail that never feels monotonous - a community experience with Guidders - an iconic destination in the Orobie This is more than just a destination: it’s a true story to be experienced on foot, among silence, mountains, and landscape. Indicative information.
