Seriana Valley High Traverse: Summiting Mezzeno Peak via Marogella Pass
Mezzeno peak via Marogella Pass
A high ridge, with the John Paul II cross.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Barenzini, above Valcanale, and follow path CAI 220 towards Rifugio Alpe Corte, then up to Cima di Mezzeno, also known as Cima Giovanni Paolo II. The ridge is high and open, with views ranging across the Orobie pre-Alps, and the Passo di Marogella marks the point where the circuit changes character. It is an accessible objective, suitable for walkers of every level and for families too.
