WHY THIS HIKE

Cornone di Blumone above Lake Vacca

A stern summit above the Lago della Vacca.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Malga Cadino della Banca and climb towards the magnificent Lago della Vacca, with Rifugio Tita Secchi on its shore. From there we carry on to the Passo Blumone and gain the summit of Cornone di Blumone, an imposing peak that commands everything below. The route runs through rock and high-mountain country, between panoramic crests and wide alpine spaces: from the top the view is complete, with lakes and the southern peaks of the Adamello group all around.

5 reasons to come - the summit of Cornone di Blumone - Lago della Vacca and Rifugio Tita Secchi - the Passo Blumone along the climb - rock and high-mountain country throughout - the full-circle view from the top

Who it suits High-mountain terrain with rocky sections: good fitness and a sure step are needed.

One of the finest summits in the Adamello: come and take it with the Guidders.
