The experience

We will venture into an immaculate landscape, crossing larch woods where the sun's rays create magical plays of light on the snow. Our path will lead us to the wide open spaces of the alpine pastures, where ancient mountain huts stand out against the blinding white, silent witnesses to an authentic mountain life.

Our destination is the Monscera Pass, an exceptional panoramic balcony overlooking the most impressive peaks. A reward that repays every step. After a well-deserved break to enjoy the view and the warmth of the mountain hut, we will set off on our way back.

You will discover the most charming corners of the valley and experience a rejuvenating adventure. It's the perfect opportunity to savor the peace of the mountains, far from everything, surrounded only by the splendor of winter nature.

EQUIPMENT: snowshoes and/or crampons may be necessary depending on snow conditions. Also an ARTVA kit, shovel, and probe. Rental can be arranged upon request for those who do not have their own. Trekking poles are also available upon request.

I'm Giacomo, a mid-mountain leader registered with the Collegio Guide Alpine. I was born and raised among the peaks of the Val d'Ossola and the views of Lake Maggiore, and I turned my passion for the mountains into a profession. Over the last 10 years I've travelled through New Zealand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Corsica, Madeira and Spain, and of course along the trails of the Alpine arc and the Apennines, often looking for that genuine connection with wild nature. I'll take you to find real places far from mass tourism: from the hidden trails of the Val d'Ossola and Lake Maggiore to the iconic Dolomites, with routes tailored to every level. My mission? To let you experience the mountains as something that changes you: every step is a story, every view a memory that stays. 🎒 See you on the trails!
