Snowshoeing Adventure to Alpe Lendine: A Snowy Paradise in the Drogo Valley!
Snowshoeing to Alpe Lendine
A snowbound village at the head of the Drogo valley.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Olmo and the climb starts firmly among houses, stone steps and old wooden signs, then opens into the Drogo valley on a long panoramic traverse through larch woods. Watch out for the two little bridges: with deep snow they look spectacular, but they want a sure step. Past the bridge the trail picks up again and leads out of the woods towards the barns of Alpe Lendine: a genuine winter painting.
5 reasons to come - the snowbound village of Lendine - the long panoramic traverse through the larches - the two little bridges, spectacular under deep snow - the Drogo valley, silent and rarely visited - a demanding snowshoe outing that is never extreme
Who it suits Demanding but never extreme: a sure step is needed, especially on the bridges.
A winter painting that genuinely exists: come and see it with the Guidders.
