Snowshoeing Adventure to Alpe Campagneda: Bernina Views and Valmalenco Snow!
Snowshoeing to Alpe Campagneda
The Bernina in front of you, and snow underfoot.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Lanzada on a great winter classic of the Valmalenco: the Alpe Campagneda. The route runs through wide, bright country, between thin woodland, snowy flats and constant views of the Bernina group, which forms the backdrop for almost the whole way. We pass the Campagneda tarns under snow and reach the pasture with Rifugio Ca' Runcash. The climb is gradual and never technical.
5 reasons to come - the Bernina group as the backdrop to the whole day - the frozen Campagneda tarns - Rifugio Ca' Runcash on arrival - wide, bright flats, perfect for photographs - a gradual climb, never technical
