Snowshoeing to Rifugio Grassi at the Foot of Pizzo Tre Signori
Snowshoeing to Rifugio Grassi
A winter classic, with Pizzo dei Tre Signori overhead.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Introbio and climb the historic Val Biandino mule track, among silent beech woods, frozen waterfalls and views that open step by step. The route is safe thanks to the track linking the valley's huts; only beyond Rifugio Tavecchia can the snow get deeper. The objective is Rifugio Grassi, set in the spectacular Camisolo basin, at the foot of Pizzo dei Tre Signori.
5 reasons to come - Rifugio Grassi in the Camisolo basin - frozen waterfalls along the mule track - Pizzo dei Tre Signori commanding the basin - one of the best-loved winter classics in the Valsassina - a safe route, on a track for most of the way
