Snowshoeing at Passo Dordona: Winter Trekking between Val Brembana and Valtellina, with Lunch in Foppolo!
Snowshoeing at Passo Dordona
An ancient pass, reached on snowshoes.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Foppolo and climb towards the Passo Dordona, an old crossing between the Val Brembana and the Valtellina. The route alternates snowy woods, wide basins and panoramic stretches, with views that open gradually onto the surrounding peaks. Walking here means following the tracks of merchants and travellers of the past, accompanied today only by the muffled sound of snow. Back down, lunch together in Foppolo.
5 reasons to come - the Passo Dordona, a historic crossing between two valleys - wide basins and snow-covered woods - the traces of an ancient route, under snow - the view opening as you climb - lunch together on the way back
