Snowshoeing Adventure in Artavaggio: Scaletta Plateau and a Traditional Pizzoccheri Lunch
Snowshoeing on the Scaletta plateau
The Piani della Scaletta are a fairytale plateau, characteristic for its snowy "humps," at the foot of Zuccone Campelli. A splendid snowshoe hike that is never too demanding, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the silence between snow, fir trees, and panoramic views of the Grigne and the Valsassina. We will continue by ascending a charming and simple gully until we reach the Rif. Cazzaniga and Rif. Nicola at the foot of Monte Sodadura and Cima di Piazzo, characteristic and unique for its distinct pyramidal shape. Here we will warm up and eat pizzoccheri prepared by Mr. Angelo, the refuge's historical and exquisite manager. We will then lose altitude, concluding our loop at the Rif. Sassi Castelli near the cable car, with which we will return to the parking lot.
