WHY THIS HIKE

Doana: your Cadore balcony

A loop trail climbing among the most photographed Dolomites in the world.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Passo Falzarego and climb straight into the heart of the area: ahead of us, the Torri del Falzarego, rock spires pointing straight up to the sky. The route is a loop: we climb through some steep stretches along switchbacks in the woods, gain altitude beneath the walls, reach the highest point at 2270 meters, then descend on the other side, heading back to the starting point. Open views over Lagazuoi and Averau all day long.

Here, during the Great War, Italian and Austrian soldiers faced each other at unthinkable altitudes: trenches, tunnels and positions carved into the rock still tell that story today, visible as you walk along these trails.

5 reasons to come - the loop among the 5 Towers of Falzarego, a unique setting - continuous views over Lagazuoi, Averau and the Dolomites of Cortina - traces of the Great War along the way - no technical passages, just good legs - highest point at 2270 meters, 360° panorama

Who it's for For those with a minimum level of fitness and legs ready for some ups and downs. No technical experience needed: just the desire to walk at altitude.

Join the Guidders: book now and come discover the Torri del Falzarego with us.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Alessandro, I'm 35 and I live in the heart of the Dolomites, in Cadore. I'm a mid-mountain leader with the Collegio Guide Alpine del Veneto and a UIMLA member, with a degree in Sport Science, an MTB guide and — yes — a sommelier too: after a hike, a good glass is never out of place. 🍷 I live the mountains in every form they come in: trekking, trail running, mountain bike adventures. Moving in nature is pure energy for me, discovery, feeling, and sharing it is the part of the job I never tire of. Panoramic ridge or woodland singletrack, the goal is the same: a real, active day that puts you back together. See you in the mountains, Guidders!
