Description

New Year's Eve 2026 in Val Codera, one of the most authentic corners of the Lombard Alps. Two days on foot, snowy woods, real silence and a special toast to welcome the new year.

We hike up to Codera village, a granite hamlet with no road access, the heart of the valley. Free lunch, then a walk through ancient trails. The evening belongs to Osteria Alpina: traditional dinner, old games, torchlight and a midnight toast with cotechino and lentils. Day two takes us toward Rifugio Brasca, at 1,304m, through woods and clearings to Alpe Coeder, where winter silence turns into magic.
