WHY THIS TRIP

Canadian Rockies: nine days of turquoise lakes, glaciers and spruce forests

We start in Calgary and enter the Rocky Mountains through the front door: Banff, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, that turquoise water you have seen a thousand times in photos and which is even more absurd in person. Then the Icefields Parkway, the road that runs past a hundred glaciers in 230 kilometres, up to the Columbia Icefield and Jasper, where the trails empty out and all that is left is elk, lakes and silence.

Accommodation
Ostelli e lodge a Banff, Lake Louise e sulla Icefields Parkway, hotel a Jasper

You walk every day: the Plain of Six Glaciers above Lake Louise, Wilcox Pass facing the Athabasca tongue, the Bald Hills above Maligne Lake, the Valley of the Five Lakes in Jasper. We get around in three 7-seat cars driven in turns, like a road trip with friends, stopping along the Parkway whenever we feel like it. You sleep in hostels, lodges and hotels, cook together some evenings and end the day in the hot springs of Banff, with snow on the peaks above your head.

Safety
MUST READ
Optional extras
