The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Coldara and climb towards the Passo di Valcava and Monte Linzone, then along the Albenza ridge to the summit of Monte Tesoro: open meadows, beech woods, old mule tracks and crests with views of the Resegone, Pizzo dei Tre Signori, Monte Arera, the Valtellina and the Orobie. The return passes the hamlets and the Sentiero dello Zuccone, and finishes in proper Guiddy style with lunch at the Costa del Coldara farm.

HOW TO GET THERE

Starting from Coldara
We start from Coldara and ascend along the historic mule track of the old funicular, immersed in a hilly landscape that gradually becomes ever more panoramic. We reach the Valcava Pass, an important connecting point between Bergamo and Lecco.
10:30PASS
Valcava Pass – Mount Linzone Hike
From the pass, we'll continue towards the summit cross of Monte Linzone, one of the most panoramic peaks in the Prealps. On a clear day, the views stretch from the Orobie Alps to the Resegone range, all the way to Monviso.
11:30SUMMIT
Summiting Monte Tesoro
After a break at the summit, we'll continue our loop hike, crossing through a beautiful beech forest to Monte Tesoro. This is the highest point of the Albenza ridge, offering stunning panoramic views across the Imagna and San Martino valleys.
13:30MOUNTAIN HUT
Villages - Zuccone Trail - Costa del Coldara Farmhouse
We descend, passing through small rural hamlets, and then hop onto the Zuccone trail which leads us back towards Coldara. We'll finish with a stop at a farmhouse for a hearty, convivial lunch.

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Coldara and climb towards the Passo di Valcava and Monte Linzone, then along the Albenza ridge to the summit of Monte Tesoro: open meadows, beech woods, old mule tracks and crests with views of the Resegone, Pizzo dei Tre Signori, Monte Arera, the Valtellina and the Orobie.
