Corna Piana Loop: Hike among ridges, mountain huts, and breathtaking Orobie views.
The Corna Piana loop
A loop with the Sentiero dei Fiori and an exposed crest.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the Baite di Mezzeno, above Roncobello, and climb towards Rifugio Capanna 2000 to pick up the Sentiero dei Fiori, which skirts the western flank of Pizzo Arera. We follow well-marked paths and crest sections to the Bocchetta di Corna Piana, the key point of the route; the final part tackles easy rock passages to the summit. Woods, pastures, gullies and exposed crests: the landscape keeps changing.
5 reasons to come - the Sentiero dei Fiori below Pizzo Arera - the Bocchetta di Corna Piana - Rifugio Capanna 2000 along the circuit - exposed crests and easy rock passages - a loop that alternates four different landscapes
Who it suits There are exposed crests and easy rock moves: a sure step, a head for heights and good fitness.
