Monte di Mezzocorona Loop: a scenic trek between a suspension bridge and a breathtaking viewpoint
Monte di Mezzocorona: Adige Valley
A loop that climbs steep and rewards you with endless views over the Piana Rotaliana.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Mezzocorona, leaving behind the 5 Rosary Stations and the Grotta della Madonna, carved into the rock like a little shrine. From there we climb steadily through woods and clearings, on a trail cut into the rock that in spring fills with blooms along the edges. Once we gain height, the path opens onto a viewpoint with a cross where we catch our breath, before reaching the Chiesetta del Monte. The loop then closes on the way down on a different side of the mountain, with views that shift at every bend.
This trail isn't just about scenery: it's a real training ground for skyrunning lovers, thanks to its steady climb that makes it a local classic.
5 reasons to join - a loop showing two different sides of the mountain - the viewpoint with its cross over the Piana Rotaliana - the Grotta della Madonna, a striking stop at the start of the climb - spring blooms all along the way - the Chiesetta del Monte, a small stop with big atmosphere
