Anello al tramonto con partenza dal Bivacco Pian dei Grassi
Sunset at Bivacco Pian dei Grassi
A loop that ends with sunset over the plain.
The experience
Bivacco Grassi, minimal in design, was opened recently to bring life back to a forgotten corner: today it is a terrace over the Treviso plain. From there we climb the road to Rifugio 5° Artiglieria Alpina and on to Malga Cor; past a small tarn, a long climb leads to Monte Pezza, the watershed ridge between Limana and Vittorio Veneto. We carry on to the highest point of the day, Monte Agnelezze, where the "castel" stands, a stone tower the locals call Pindòl. From up there we watch the sunset, then descend by Forcella Zoppei.
5 reasons to come - sunset from Monte Agnelezze - the "Pindòl", the stone tower at the top - Bivacco Grassi and its minimal design - the watershed ridge of Monte Pezza - the Treviso plain lighting up
Who it suits A long loop with a demanding climb: good fitness is needed.
Please note: meeting time and start may change with the time of sunset.
