WHY THIS HIKE

Loop hike to Monte Alben Mountain Hut

One of the most recognisable summits in the Bergamo pre-Alps.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Serina, in the Val Serina, and climb through beech woods, high pastures and pale rock towards Passo del Sapplì, then along ridge sections to Rifugio Monte Alben. The ground is uneven, the gradient constant and a few passages want a sure step and a head that does not mind exposure. In return the view opens across the valley and every summit around the Alben, in a genuine setting that repays the effort.

5 reasons to come - the panoramic Alben summit, a symbol of the Bergamo Orobie - Passo del Sapplì and the ridge sections - Rifugio Monte Alben as the objective - a varied path through woods, pasture and rock - a climb you feel, and which satisfies for that reason

Who it suits You want real effort: a constant gradient, uneven ground and a few passages needing a sure step and no trouble with exposure.

If you are after a summit with character, here it is: come with the Guidders.
