WHY THIS HIKE

Alpe di Tires, Denti di Terrarossa

A strangely shaped notch, on the Sciliar plateau.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

In the Dolomites the rock formations are remarkable, but the Forcella Denti di Terrarossa has a shape all its own. With the Guidders we see it up close, starting from the Alpe di Siusi: leaving the car at Compaccio we walk the plateau, full of pastures and easy paths, inside the Sciliar-Catinaccio nature park. The objective is Rifugio Alpe di Tires, right below the Denti, one of the most striking spots in the area.

5 reasons to come - the Forcella Denti di Terrarossa, one of a kind - Rifugio Alpe di Tires at the foot of the Denti - the Alpe di Siusi, the largest high plateau in the Alps - the Sciliar-Catinaccio nature park - easy paths in spectacular country

Who it suits Easy plateau paths with a final climb to the hut: normal walking fitness is enough.

The Dolomites at their strangest: come and see them with the Guidders.
