Sunrise on Mount Linzone
Sunrise on Mount Linzone
There is a moment, before the sun arrives, when everything stops.
The experience
That is where this climb begins. We set off with the Guidders from Roncola San Bernardo while it is still dark, walk by head torch and reach the summit of Monte Linzone as the sky turns pink, orange and gold. From the top the eye takes in the Orobie, the Resegone, the Po plain and the Apennines on the horizon; on the clearest days Monte Rosa appears too. Then we walk down with the sun already up and the whole day still ahead.
5 reasons to come - sunrise from the summit of Monte Linzone - walking in the dark by head torch, in silence - the Resegone and the Orobie catching the first light - the Po plain and the Apennines on the horizon - getting back with the day still whole
