At the Foot of Pizzo Camino: The San Fermo Loop
The San Fermo loop below Pizzo Camino
The full circuit at the foot of Pizzo Camino.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the Passo Croce di Salven and walk right round the mass of Pizzo Camino, with its neighbouring summits — Cima Moren and Cima Tabak — always in sight. We pass Rifugio San Fermo and Rifugio Laeng, summer pastures such as Malga Moren and Malga San Fermo, and a few alpine tarns too. There are no difficult or exposed sections: the only difficulty is the distance, which you feel.
5 reasons to come - the complete circuit around Pizzo Camino - two huts, the San Fermo and the Laeng - the pastures of Malga Moren and Malga San Fermo - the alpine tarns along the route - Cima Moren and Cima Tabak in view throughout
Who it suits No difficult or exposed sections: the challenge is the distance, so you need legs for a full day.
A long and beautiful circuit: come and walk it with the Guidders.
